The climate policies we need according to science are in the budget reconciliation bill.
Recent IPCC reports have declared “Code Red” for the climate crisis. We need a comprehensive bill now with the full suite of climate policies, not just a few items. If we don’t pay for climate mitigation and adaptation now, we will pay more in the long term and will have a much higher deficit and a more disrupted economy. Government investment is needed now to keep the US competitive.
The budget reconciliation framework as issued by Senate democratic leadership includes the set of policies necessary to help stabilize climate.
